How To Fall

Task #1

Maia is proud of Aunty Emz I know this because it says in the text " She's on fire eh Maia" "Duh Maia says and also it says " That was awesome " Maia says and to me that makes me know that Maia is proud of her Aunty.

I think Maia feels bad about moving because she keeps on getting into arguments and it says in the text that Her sister got to stay behind just because she was in the mid of exams since it was the middle of the year and Maia got mad because she had to friends around where she lived.

I don't think Maia found it very hard because she seemed to pick up all the tips and pointers her Aunty Emz gave her reasonably fast and she didn't take very long to learn how to use the tips and pointers her Aunty gave her.

Task #2

I had to make a biog adjustment when I moved to Hornby High School because you had to work around to get to your different classes and having a new teacher and also having different people to mingle with it was difficult to find new friends and people to hang out with and talk to because you were known as the " new kid " so everyone kind of wanted to know how you acted before they started hanging out with you and it was hard leaving mid year.

I looked around me no one was there no one was left I looked to the left of me and saw the full moo.n
I looked at the ground and saw my reflection in the puddle, I felt myself sinking and drifting away until I
couldn't feel my existence.

The earth was closing in the grass that was once green had turned black everything living was now
dead. I looked around me the trees had no leaves no cover they were cold and dying just like me, I shivered and fell to the ground I remembered all of my memories good and bad until my very last breath.

All we had to do in this task is listen to a song and visualise a picture or scene in your head then you had to put your picture into words but it had to be about the setting or place.

I enjoyed this task because I could express my inner personality and it helped me to get my creativity and imagination running.

Stitches

L.O: to understand the history and and importance of women rights in New Zealand.

Question 1
What was the story about ?
I think the story stitches was about a girl who loved sewing and was going to drop out of school and start her own job. I also think it was about her friend who was leaving and her opinion on her friend leaving and her emotions on her friend leaving.

Question 2
May is 13 ,How is your life different compared to hers ?
My life is different from May because I don't have 7 family members living with me I know that she has 7 family members living with her because in the text it says " Know papa was polishing the family boots: shoe - shoe - shoe with the brush. Seven pairs, one by one. " that is my evidence to prove my point and something else that is different is I can't drop out of school until I am 16, and I don't want to leave school because I have no way of keeping myself entertained as I am not in love with sewing and I don't yet have a hobby that I would be willing to drop out for.


Question 3
What sacrifices to you think she made in the story ? Why did she make those ?
She sacrificed going to her school, for sewing.  I think she made them to help her focus on sewing since she loves to do it so much and I think she might have done it because she needed to help her mother with gaining money for the house and to feed the family of seven.

I really enjoyed this task because I got to re read the text of the story stitches and it was a very interesting story. What we had to do was read the story and then go onto the slideshow for your group and then we were given 3 questions to answer and we had to answer them in full sentences or paragraphs.

Music D.L.O

Hello readers my task for this blogpost was to write about the different decades of music and what was popular each decade e.g genres and singers. We were partnered up for this task and my partner was a girl named Meleana unfortunately we were not able to complete our D.L.O but I will be working on it in my own time.

Hello and welcome to my blog, I'm going to be making a post about integrity.

Having Integrity means to be honest and reliable which means people can trust you.

You can show integrity at school by doing the right thing at the right time .

Three ways I can show integrity are being trustful, kind and don't just say that your going to do good things, but turn those good words into good actions.

On tuesday we had a task to make a poster explaining the differences between They're , Their, There because they all sound the same but they are each used for different things, we were told to make this poster because some students were getting confused with them when writing or placing them wherever they wanted to place them, So this is my poster and I hope you learnt something from it .

Te Tiriti O Waitangi

 WALT : identify the significance and importnace of Te Tiriti O Waitangi to Aotearoa New Zealand.

On February the 6th, we celebrate Waitangi day . This used to be called New Zealand day which shows how important it is to New Zealanders.

I created a D.L.O that shows why we New Zealanders celebrate Waitangi Day and the importance of the Treaty. My D.L.O also includes the Treaty of Waitangi in Te reo Māori.
